We may sometimes admit that SUV’s are fashionable. Any other car brand would have let you into it already, with endless models and adaptations that have come to light in the last few years.
Whatever your ideas and feelings about the trend, one thing’s for certain – It seems that it’s not going anywhere just yet. As used to the larger, wider body specs as we may be these days, there are things that even our wildest dreams have a hard time to conceive.
A supercar SUV is something you don’t see every day, and one of its greatest ever examples lies in the Lamborghini Urus, which has broken such specific idea and may be easily regarded as one of the most aggressive looking SUV in the world along with the title of one of the fastest.
Urus Mansory Venatus 2020
Whilst many of the supercar manufacturers disregard SUV’s, Lamborghini was bold enough to adopt such a design and recreate it in its unique, fantastic and inspiring way. The Urus is aggressive, fast, loud and beautiful to look at. And yes, it’s still a SUV somewhere in the middle of all those things.
Recently, it made a unique appearance that left no one indifferent after Mansory picked up the original car and delivered one of its unique, well thought and delicious makeovers.
What was presented at Geneva was an even more aggressive and unique Lamborghini SUV. In fact, so unique, that most people and some media assumed it was likely a whole new model altogether.
On the outside, you’ll still recognize the Urus, but one that seems as if on steroids. Mansory made so many changes that you too would be forgiven to assume this was a brand new model.
From its aggressive bonnet with many aerodynamic supports and numerous air inlets, there is an increased emphasis on the wheels, with its 24″ rims and orange details. On the rear, an incredible triangular exhaust makes us sigh at what is, undoubtedly, a new take on the already amazing Urus.
An Internal Modern Quality
It’s hard to qualify such a defying machine. If for a moment it seems like it would belong in a modern Mad Max movie set, it’s still just too high-end, luxurious and jaw-dropping to even start defining. It’s brutal, yet desirable.
The interior was also targeted with similar detail, with several carbon fiber orange notes against a dark high-contrast delivery of a project that is surely aimed at shocking and inspiring as if Lamborghinis weren’t dramatic enough already. It succeeds in every turn and the result is nothing short of astonishing.
This unique automobile is celebrated by the Venatus 1/1 identification, reminding those few lucky ones that will spot it that they are in front of a one of a kind breed. As if Lamborghinis weren’t exclusive enough, the Mansory Urus is indeed a unique sample and we’d be lucky to spot it in our lifetime.
As many changes as Mansory may have made to the original Urus, there seems to be a deep dedication to their love regarding the Italian manufacturer. With it, its well preserved and unchanged specifications, something that will surely please the purist.
Pricing and Specs
The Urus Mansory specification claims that no changes were made to the Urus V8 Biturbo 4-litre engine, still producing 650hp and a whopping 850Nm maximum binary.
Its performance is close to any of the fastest ever cars with a mere 3.6 seconds from 0-100km/h (0-60 mph) and 12,8 seconds from 0-200km/h (124mph). The maximum speed is still set at 305 km/h (190mph).
So far, it was impossible to know the Venatus price, but with specs like these and following the tendency for other available Mansory Urus models, it will surely be in excess of $450,000.
Our Verdict
If you’re lucky enough to ever spot the Mansory Urus somewhere out there, enjoy the split-second it lasts. Exclusive cars like it don’t come around every day and are delivered and defined by the pure love of a brand and/or model whilst aiming at top luxury clients.
They are a great exercise in making something that is already fantastic into something absolutely unique. Often, such cars are shown around the world in unique events and may end up locked away in private collections to never see the daylight again.
For those that love cars as much as we do, it’s unthinkable to have the Mansory Urus doing anything other than roaring down a road with its aggressive look, all guns blazing and asking for no permission to other cars – super or not.
